The aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan is devastating, with increasing death tolls and hundreds of thousands of displaced people in the Philippines. It is hard to imagine the reality of survivors where daily survival is a struggle.

Like many of you, I want to help. Considering what I do is make interior spaces look beautiful and feel comfortable, I’ve been trying to find a way to use my work as a contribution toward aid. Given the incredible number of homeless people needing basic shelter, I am connecting design to assisting in this cause. With your help, a larger amount of monetary relief can be donated than just mine alone.

 Here is how it works:

1. Send me a photo of your room to christinemartindesign@gmail.com

2. Receive a concept board with 5 practical tips on how to improve your space.

3. Pay invoice for service via Paypal ($30 value)

4. Feel good! You’ve received skilled design advice and contributed to a good cause.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM DESIGNS WILL GO TOWARD SHELTERBOX, AN ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES A TENT AND ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT TO USE WHILE VICTIMS ARE DISPLACED OR HOMELESS. THE GOAL IS TO REACH A $500 DONATION.

Need advice on how to pull your space together? Thinking of a unique and helpful gift for the holidays? Please share this Design for Shelter Project with others. Thank you!
